HIMSS25: Lessons Learned From Recent Smart Hospital Initiatives
Smart hospital and smart room initiatives combine modern infrastructure, emerging technology and interoperability to enable clinicians to deliver a seamless care experience.
At HIMSS25, HealthTech met with leaders from three healthcare organizations — Nebraska Medicine, Memorial Hermann Health System and Northwell Health — that have all recently undergone smart hospital transformations. These organizations recognized the need for a care delivery model that meets today’s requirements while preparing for the future.
They shared the technologies they used, lessons learned and advice for other healthcare organizations looking to kick off smart hospital implementations.
