In a CDW Tech Talk taking place at 1 p.m. Central on Sept. 21, two leaders from Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls, Ore., will discuss how recent infrastructure upgrades have paid off, both as the organization faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and when it was the target of a cyberattack.

John Gaede, the hospital’s director of information systems, and Nick Fossen, its manager of technology systems, will share what led them to upgrade their infrastructure, results from the upgrade and lessons learned from the process.

How Healthcare Organizations Can Reduce Their Security Risk

Join CDW Healthcare CTO Tom Stafford and Drex DeFord, executive healthcare strategist at CrowdStrike, at 1 p.m. Central on Oct. 5 as they discuss ways healthcare organizations can protect themselves from cyberattacks.

The two will explore how the security landscape is changing for healthcare, how healthcare organizations have addressed these changes and how organizations can reduce their security risk through incident response planning and ethical hacking and services such as penetration testing.
